Roof frame installation begins

The first shipment, consisting of the initial components of the frame and sheets for the roof, began to be installed starting on November 21.

A date to remember! The challenge: hoist the purlins to a height of over 6 meters without a crane, with some elements weighing several hundred kilograms. The strength of arms, sturdy ropes, and pulleys got the job done. The first element was installed after an hour and a half. With experience, the installation of the subsequent elements went a bit faster.

Is it necessary to remind you that this is the first mango season, and there’s no shortage of them in the village? Now you know the perfect time of year to come visit us… (For those who miss out, there will be another season around February).

On the second day, the work progressed more quickly thanks to the benefit of experience.

No crane? No problem!

November 25: At TKV, we don’t have a crane, but we have ideas! To make lifting the heaviest purlins easier, the team used the power of the agricultural tractor combined with pulleys installed at height. A significant boost in productivity.

As a result, less manpower was needed, and a few could sit back and watch the tractor do the work. It’s much less tiring that way…
